01 Introduction

Gpsion is a field-team management app that lets team managers create and track tasks, and lets team members carry them out and communicate through in-app chat, with optional location tracking of team members while they’re working.

By using the app, you agree to the collection and processing of data as described in this policy. If you were added to a team by a team manager, that manager may set usage policies within their own organization, and we process your data on that organization’s behalf to the extent needed to run the service.

02 Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use the app:

• Account data — name, phone number, email address, and a password stored in encrypted form that no one can read.
• Team data — the team you belong to, your role in it (manager / leader / member), and the status of invitations you’ve sent or received.
• Location data — latitude/longitude coordinates sent by the app while you carry out tasks or share your location with your team, along with a timestamp for each update. Detailed in the next section.
• Task data — a task’s title, description, status, and priority, plus its start and end locations if provided.
• Chat data — text messages exchanged between members of the same team inside the app.
• Device and notification data — your device’s push-notification token (FCM token), device type, and operating system.

• Running your account, sign-in, and identity verification.
• Displaying tasks, updating their status, and linking them to locations when relevant.
• Showing team members’ locations to their manager for field coordination.
• Enabling text chat between members of the same team.
• Sending push notifications and emails related to team invitations or task updates.
• Improving app performance and finding and fixing bugs.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell it to third parties.

05 Data Sharing

Your data is not shared outside your team and organization except in the following cases:

• Technical service providers — such as hosting and database providers, push-notification services (Firebase), and email delivery, only to the extent needed to run the app and under confidentiality agreements with them.
• Legal obligations — if required by a valid legal order from a competent authority.
• Your explicit consent — in any other case not listed above.

06 Data Security

Passwords are stored in encrypted form that can’t be read directly. Data travels between the app and our servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We apply access controls that limit visibility of each team’s data to its own members and manager.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed fully secure, and we continually work to improve these protections.

07 Data Retention

We retain your account, team, and task data for as long as your account is active. When an account is deleted, personally identifiable data is removed within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or accounting purposes.

08 Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — fix inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion — request that your account and personal data be deleted.
• Withdraw consent — turn off location sharing from your device settings at any time.

09 Children’s Privacy

Gpsion is a workplace app and is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change accordingly, and we’ll notify you of any material change through the app or by email.
